"Force and Acceleration" Lab
Hey! Yo! Hiya! Wassup? Jasmin here, on the blog of her favorite physics class. Put your hands in the air and wave them like you just don't care! On this ugly Wednesday, we got right into it and did a lab. She demonstrated it at the front table first then handed out a sheet called "Force and Acceleration". We were required to use one of those giant boards, a cart, three weights (50 g, 100 g, and 200 g), string (approx. 1 m), a bent paper clip, some washers, a pulley, a timer, and five pieces of timer tape (approx. 1 m). First we needed to make the cart travel at a constant speed with out the weights. To do that, we put washers on the paper clip, connected it to one end of the string, and connected the other end to the cart. That was the basic set up. We needed to time the cart's acceleration with different weights (50 g, 100 g, 150 g, 200 g, 250 g.) Count every fifth dot to make a 'tock' then measure the tock. do the "Data and Calculations" part in the booklet. We couldn't complete it today, so we have time tomorrow to do it. That's the end of that Lab.
☺
WOW! Check that out! This is my eighth post! That means... I'm the first one to finish their scribing life! WOOT! I am oh so awesome. =D Have fun doing the rest of your posts people! =)
