Electrical Fields
Today in class we corrected the last questions on our friction sheet. We then started on electrical fields. We learned that positive point charges have an outward push force, and negative point charges have a inward pull force. We got a fill in the blanks sheet on electrical fields. That all for now.

friction lab
Guess what, it's now 10:45 and remember the rule, if the person who supposed to describe passes 10:30 someone else has to do so.
Today's class wasn't so bad, the class was nice and not so busy.
Mrs. K. handout a lab sheet on friction, which took the all class.
And i think that's all about today's class.
Have a great night everyone.

Gravitational fields
Since nobody blogged last night, i decided to blog this saturday about last friday's class.
The class was so nice and suite, first we went over the two questions signed out in last thursday's class.
After that he handout another sheet to work on, in the class for ten minutes the "physics 30s falling and Air Resistance".
As soon as we finished the questions we went over the same sheet.
Then he handout the static friction sheet to read in the class.
At the end of the class he handout the friction worksheet to work on.
That's all about last Friday's class.

Gravitational fields
Once again, Good evening ladies and gentlemen.
Today's class was nice a quite, everybody was down listening carefuly the lesson.
The substitute teacher went over the Gravitational fields workheet questions 1-4.
Then we went over the accelerated motion II sheet questions 1-3, after he finished the question number 3 of the sheet, he subsequently said that we have to take the questions 4-5 and try them at home. To make things clear these two question weren't signed as a homework but all he said is that if you want to try go ahead, if you don't is all good.
For Ms. K the class wasn't so bad today, but we all missed you.
See you next week.

Gravitational fields
Once again good evening ladies and gentlemen.
Today's class was a busy class. The first 15 minutes of our class today, we finished the lab sheet hand out in last tuesday's class.
Then she read in the gravitational fields booklet on page 7-11" free fall problem solving"
As soon as she finished to read she than hand out two sheets to work on , which were the
Accelerated motion II and falling and air resistance.

Once again good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
Today's class was a nice class and enjoyable.
In today's class we went over with the teacher on the two sheets handed out in last friday's class which are "the 13-1 sheet and the chapter six study guide."
After doing the corrections she then read in the Gravitational fields booklet on page seven. As soon as she finished reading, she handed out the experiment sheet on the determination of gravitational field strength and that was our lab.
That was all in today's class. HAVE A GREAT EVENING WITH YOUR FAMILY.

force & acceleration
Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
Today's class was a pleasant class, where we had the opportunity to express ourselves on sheet hand out the first thirty minutes of the class " YOUTH HEALTH SURVEY."
After that sheet, we corrected the Gravitational fields worksheet exercise 5-9 hand out in yesterday's class. As soon as we finished to go over the sheet, she then handed out two more sheets to work on this weekend, which were "STUDY GUIDE #6 & CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT PRACTICLE (force and weight)."
That was all in today's Class. I wish you all a happy long weekend.
REMEMBER: NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY IT'S VICTORIA DAY.

Apparent Weight Problems
hi again everyone,
Today was an easy class but we still learned new things. first we did some practice work sheets and she gave us something that like a cheat sheet but after those handouts and doing the sample problems she gave us a homework #5-8(sorry but i don't have the paper beside right now so i don't know the tittle of the paper.) and thats all about it (thats all i can remember :D hihihihi)

Apparent Weight
hi everyone,
today May 14 2008, we went over the test that we did on Tuesday and i don't think Ms K posted up the answer but anyways after that we did a lab when we were about finishing up our work we watch some roller coaster videos and a fat kid that almost fell a roller coaster. and that all about it and oh yeah the bell wasn't working today.

Hi again,
So today we had our Dyanamics Unit Test, I think I did okay?! But anyway, after that Ms. K gave us booklets on the new unit called GRAVITATIONAL FIELDS. She read four pages of the booklet while we highlighted the important sentences. Then classes ended!
We are doing a Lab tomorrow!
YEEES!
Last scribe of the semester :)
Come on guys don't be lazy and finish already!
Bye blogger.com :(

Hi everyone :)
I know, I'm sorry Kamil, you said you would blog but I think I'll just finish my last two scribe by doing yesterday and for today's class.
Okay, so Monday we went over the worksheet that she gave us last week. It was NEWTON'S LAWS OF MOTION and if you had any questions before the test you should of asked. We were shown different ways of using the equation for acceleration and how to isolate mass to solve a problem. There was also a question on using the Pythagorean Theorem. Ms. K mentioned that those questions were as hard as it got. We also went over the Free-Body Diagrams worksheet and that was fairly easy. Okay that's it!

Physics 30S Friday, May 9, 2008
On friday's class, we learned how to create free-body diagrams of forces and vectors. Some common forces used were "normal" force, "gravitational" force, "frictional" force, and "applied" force. We worked on two assignments and handed one in at the end of class.javascript:void(0)

"Force and Acceleration" Lab
Hey! Yo! Hiya! Wassup? Jasmin here, on the blog of her favorite physics class. Put your hands in the air and wave them like you just don't care! On this ugly Wednesday, we got right into it and did a lab. She demonstrated it at the front table first then handed out a sheet called "Force and Acceleration". We were required to use one of those giant boards, a cart, three weights (50 g, 100 g, and 200 g), string (approx. 1 m), a bent paper clip, some washers, a pulley, a timer, and five pieces of timer tape (approx. 1 m). First we needed to make the cart travel at a constant speed with out the weights. To do that, we put washers on the paper clip, connected it to one end of the string, and connected the other end to the cart. That was the basic set up. We needed to time the cart's acceleration with different weights (50 g, 100 g, 150 g, 200 g, 250 g.) Count every fifth dot to make a 'tock' then measure the tock. do the "Data and Calculations" part in the booklet. We couldn't complete it today, so we have time tomorrow to do it. That's the end of that Lab.
☺
WOW! Check that out! This is my eighth post! That means... I'm the first one to finish their scribing life! WOOT! I am oh so awesome. =D Have fun doing the rest of your posts people! =)- - Jasmin

HELLOOOO!!!! =)
Today we had a chance to go over the test that we took last friday. the answers are already posted (check the blog)
Then, we watched the video about newton's first law (law of inertia). We learned that nothing moves by itself. An object that is not moving will stay still, an object that moves in a straight line with the same speed, will keep moving.
We had to write seven points while watching the video.
WE'RE DOING A LAB TOMORROW =)
well, that's all that we did today =)
happy birthday joseph and george!

Hola physics lovers,
WOOT WOOT ! I beat all you blogger-addicts!
Today we had a substitute, Mr. Harrison. We corrected Chapter 5 Study Guide (back to back). I'm pretty sure you guys got the answers so no need for repeats?!
Anyway, after that we got 3 worksheet based on the Newton's Laws of Motion: Inertia, Force and Acceleration, and Action and Reaction. We were given time to complete each sheet and we corrected 3-1, 4-1 and 5-1. Basically all that were given.
And that was it.. 6 down, 2 to go :D
It's George and Joseph's date of birth tomorrow!
Don't forget the cake guys, haha.
Adios :)

HI (: HI (:
So, I was on facebook and decided to check on our physics blog to see if Jasmin "the great" beat me again (: but noh-noh. (: yeaaah i think i won this one. THIS COUNTS!
..although we had a test on friday (:
so yes, a recap on Friday May 2, 2008 .
we had our unit test on Kinematics which was fairly easy.. ( i hope i did okay )
haha andd also, Ms. K handed out some sheets for the next unit which is Dynamics.
here are the 4 sheets that were handed out :
5.1 Newton's law of motion Study guide
Dynamics
The four fundamental Forces
Dynamics : Newton's Laws of Motion
there you go folks,
btw, im sure i wont be blogging on monday but just so you all know,
IT'S GEORGE AND JOSEPH'S BIRTHDAY ON TUESDAY !
( i read on facebook , haha)
enjoy the rest on your weekend

Interpreting Graphs
Good evening to all eight of my physics comrades... and Ms. Kozoriz of course! Once again, the great Jasmin defeated you ALL for the position of today's scribe. What now?! XD Anyways... Today we were learning how to interpret different kinematic graphs. We received, went over, and discussed various work sheets. We first went over the sheet we got from the sub yesterday called "Acceleration". Then we went over the second sheet the sub gave us called "Information in Kinematics Graphs" After completing that, she distributed a sheet called "Instantaneous Velocity". On that sheet we needed to calculate the slope and draw tangent lines. Once that was finished, we went over "Chapter 5: Study Guide", which we had for such a long time.
