June 13, 2008, Friday Physics Class
Today in physics class we had a test on magnetic fields. Some of the questions included calculating field strength, using the right hand rules, and determining the direction of current and the magnetic field. Good luck to everyone who wrote the test!

yay, I beat George again (:
Anyways today in class, we went over the handout sheet about magnetic fields called : Magnetic Fields Worksheet. Also, corrected the four questions from the booklet The Direction of the force on a current carrying wire where Ms. K. asked those who were not done blogging to do one question on the board as a substitute for one blog (:
and so that was our physics-thursday .
the rest of the class we were given as "study" time .
A reminder that tomorrow we will be having our test on Magnetism and Electromagnetism , our final test .

Today we did an overhead assignment
We finished a chapter 24 Study Guide
We did questions in the textbook

sorry but i need 4 more so im gonna steal the blog for today
today she gave us 4 hand outs
we did chapter 24 study guide for 20 minutes then went over it. after finishing the study guide we did 4 question from page 512 of the green booklet #'s 8 to 12then we got 3 more sheet one was a review about the 3 right hand rules we studied. we had a paper called right-hand rules to answer after going over that sheet she gave us a sheet of paper called physic 30s magnetic field worksheet for HW i think.
oh yeah don't forget test on Friday and exams next Friday.

Today in class, we corrected three
handouts from yesterday that deals with the
1st and 2nd right-hand rule on electromagnetism.
These sheets were :
electromagnetism ( 1st and 2nd right-hand rule)
electromagnetism assignment
fields assignment
Also, we corrected the four questions from the back of the magnetic field booklet
called : Oersted and the magnetic field of a straight conductor. Then at the very
end of class, she gave us another handout called : The direction of the force on a
current carrying wire which we are to read and answer the questions from the back.

G + E Test Review, Magnetism
Today in class we got our tests back, we reviewed them and filled in all the wrong answers, afterwards we corrected chapter 24 review on magnetism, we then were supposed to read out booklets and answer the questions in the back. Thats all for now.

We also read over:
1.3 Magnetic Poles
1.4 Magnetic Field Line Determination using a Compass or Iron Filings
1.5 Magnetic Field Line Pattern for a Bar Magnet
1.6 Magnetic Field and the Horseshoe Magnet
For the final half hour, we were given time to complete our Magnetism Lab
Wohoo one more scribe to go!

Test on Gravitational and Electrical Fields today
Today in physics we had a test on Gravitational and Electrical Fields, our next topic is Magnetic Fields so don't forget to read your booklets and do your chapter study for tomorrow, because I think its due tomorrow. Well thats all for now have a nice day.

Today we were suppose to have our unit test in Gravitational
and Electric fields but then the test did not print out so LUCKY US!
we get an extra night to study. (:
Anyways, today we started our superb unit, MAGNETIC FIELDS .
At first, Ms. K. put out different models of magnet and later on we
were given 3 handouts:
- Chapter 24 study guide: we were to take a textbook home and do it for homework.
- Magnetic Poles booklet : read through
- Magnetic fields around magnets : this handout was the lab we did in class and
it was FUUUN! i love iron filings (:
hmmkaay I think that's everything we did today,
and a reminder that our unit test will be tomorrow
IF we get it from the printer.

Well, since no one wants to blog, i might as well do it.
So, today we went over the electric fields worksheet. (questions 4-10)
Then, we did the electric fields review sheet questions 1-3.
So basically we finished the worksheets today because there's a test tomorrow!!
That's right, we have a physics test tomorrow.

For today's homework , we have to do questions 4-10 from the electric fields worksheet
use the formula
N=q/e
e= 1.6x10^-19
( check the blog for today's lesson)
And last but not least, we were given the physics review for the upcoming exam.
